Crazy over Fifty Shades

Totally taken away by Christian Grey of E L James' Fifty Shades trilogy fiction novel! I am really glad to hear that a movie production for the novel is set to begin in 2013. I will be the first one to watch the movie.

As for who I would like to star as Christian Grey - Channing Tatum! It will be fantastic, this man is good. Now if he wants his wife Jenna Dewan to star along with him as Anastasia Steele let it be. For sure the production team can do something to make Jenna look pale and the "eyes that look bigger than her face". They are both great actors. Given that the scenes will be erotic and romantic for sure they will do well :)
Fit for the copper-haired gray-eyed Christian Grey?

I really hope for Channing Tatum as Christian Grey and Jenna as Ana Steele.

Madagascar 3: Personal Review

Source: apurvbollywood.blogspot.com

So been to watch Madagascar 3 on 3D cinema. I was moved and there is so much lesson to learn from it. Loved the scene while Vitaly, the Russian tiger was packing his stuff and how Alex, the lion tried to persuade him to go back to the show and their conversation about impossible things that motivated Vitaly to join his friends back to the circus show.

To watch it in 3D is more joy. The movie is good for the young and young-at-heart. Beautiful, beautiful.

Santorini, Greece?

I know I have been dreaming a lot to visit Santorini.

And no, this was not in Santorini. This breathtaking view was taken at Cove Rotana Resort, Ras Al Khaimah. A nice place to visit during weekend.

Bu Qtair Restaurant in Jumeirah

Last weekend's fried fish curry at Bu Qtair. A nice dinner with friends under the moonlight at this humble place opposite the beach, with the view of the stunning Burj Al Arab.

There were a long queue of people waiting to be served when we arrived. Good thing the rest of the group already went, ordered and seated when we reached the place and so we didn't have to wait. Food was yummy. Well recommended to everyone who wants to visit the place. And it doesn't hurt your wallet too because food is fairly priced.

Recycling

Today, I decided to stop my recycling initiative at home. After making trips at night by foot to the recycling bins three times a week it has been good. I felt good. But it has become an eyesore at the kitchen at times when I have to wait until evening to take the recyclable goodies with me during my evening walks.

I have emailed DULSCO to see whether they can place recycling bins just down our building to encourage more residents to participate in the waste recycling program of Dubai Municipality. I will post updates later.

Little surprise

I found this at my work mailbox today. How good it is to come to work everyday and find little surprises like this.
I feel lucky and blessed to be surrounded with nice colleagues. Wait a sec, 115 calories, oh well, not bad eh?

Cyprus visa

I am very excited and happy today, well, they say I am always excited about every little thing. My friends and I applied for Cyprus visa and we just have received our passports back with the visa stamp from Cyprus Embassy in Abu Dhabi!

Special thanks to Kuya He who took the effort to collect our passports from the embassy. Trust me the embassy's location was very hard to find.

The next step now is to finalize the itinerary of our 6 nights' trip. Very excited to visit this Mediterranean island soon and see the Rock of Aphrodite, Lara Beach in Akamas to see turtles, Mt. Troodos, Mt. Olympus, Nicosia and taste the Greek Cypriot's meze.

Also, (my younger sister will laugh at this) I would like to visit the Donkey Sanctuary in Vouni to see little donkeys.

Burger Fuel at Dubai Mall

And so I almost forgot to write about where did we go after the flea market. We went to Burger Fuel, sounds odd eh? It's Ate Sa's new fave burger place.

She's determined to have burger at Burger Fuel for lunch and excited to show us how it's different to other burgers like McDo, Burger King and other fast food places. We went to the branch in Dubai Mall. Very nice location. We had the view of the rice rink below.

A snap of pendant light utilizing spark plugs, very artistic.

The Menu
A bit more expensive though, but if you're eating healthy then it's worth it. The best thing, it was her treat! So I didn't have to part with my hard-earned dirham for a burger :) Yipee. Ooops, she might read this.

Flea Market at Safa Park

Every first Saturday of the month there is a flea market in Safa Park from 8am till 3pm organized by dubai-fleamarket.com.

And so we thought of going to see. I must admit that this was my second time to see the place. First time I went I was a volunteer selling goodies to raise funds for charity. My first time today to go as potential customer. Ready to brace the heat, wearing my sunglasses and carrying my purse with some money, I drove and left from my building at 10am with two of my girl-friends. Outside is 36°C temperature.

Park entrance is AED 3.

Ate Sa as seen here is busy inspecting a dress.
More photo from the market.

Me and Ate Fi with some stuff we got from the market. We enjoyed today's flea market especially I found pairs of dangling earrings at AED 2 each. I am going to wear those soon.

We're done at flea market now and must feed our tummies next.
